Kieran Trippier extends Newcastle United contract
Newcastle United defender, Kieran Trippier, has extended his contract with the club until 2025.
Trippier, an England international right-back, joined the Magpies from Atletico Madrid in January 2020 and has played a key role in the team’s success this season, helping them keep 16 clean sheets in all competitions.
Trippier, who is 32 years old, said he was thrilled to extend his contract and that there was no place he’d rather be.
Newcastle manager, Eddie Howe, praised Trippier for his leadership and outstanding performance both on and off the pitch.
The team is currently third in the Premier League and plays next on Tuesday against Southampton in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.
