Video: Jamal Musiala doing it all by himself
Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg 4-2 and regained the top spot in the Bundesliga on Sunday, despite Joshua Kimmich’s sending off.
The visitors showed their efficiency by holding on despite Kimmich’s second yellow card in the 54th minute.
Kingsley Coman scored twice, Thomas Müller and Jamal Musiala added two more, and Bayern’s goalkeeper Yann Sommer played a crucial role in securing the team’s first Bundesliga win of the year.
With this win, Bayern moved one point ahead of Union Berlin. Wolfsburg had 22 shots at goal compared to Bayern’s nine, but the latter struck first in the 9th minute through Coman’s cross to Müller, which found its way into the goal.
Coman doubled the score with a volley from João Cancelo’s cross a few minutes later. Müller celebrated his 427th appearance for Bayern by heading in Kimmich’s free kick for the third goal.
Despite the lead, Wolfsburg remained competitive and deservedly scored a goal through Jakub Kaminski before halftime.
