Dani Ceballos-inspired Real Madrid comeback against Villarreal

Real Madrid’s comeback in the second half of their Copa del Rey match against Villarreal was nothing short of remarkable.

The hosts had taken a 2-0 lead at halftime with goals from Etienne Capoue and Samuel Chukwueze, but Real Madrid woke up in the second half.

Vinicius Jr and Eder Militao scored to tie the game, and Dani Ceballos added a third with a goal assisted by Marco Asensio.

Ceballos had made a big impact since being brought on by coach Carlo Ancelotti just 56 minutes into the game, having also assisted Vinicius Jr’s goal.
