Stade Francis-Le Ble
Stade Francis-Le Ble is set to host the Sunday matinee clash between Brest and PSG, two of the top-tier teams in the league.
The Pirates are eager to break their three-game winless streak, but they face a formidable challenge against the star-studded champions.
Fortunately for the home team, there are no new injury concerns ahead of PSG’s visit. Meanwhile, Les Parisiens are determined to ascend to the top of the league standings, and given Brest’s recent form, it’s tempting to favor the title contenders.
It’s worth noting that PSG has emerged victorious in all eleven of their previous encounters with Brest in the French top flight. On the flip side, PSG will be without Warren Zaire-Emery, Marco Asensio, Sergio Rico, and Nuno Mendes due to injuries. Additionally, in their last Ligue 1 meeting, PSG defeated Brest 2-1.
Team News:
Mehdi Camara, who was suspended for the loss to Lille, is poised to return to Brest’s starting XI, potentially leading to Jonas Martin taking a spot on the bench.
Lillian Brassier, back from suspension, is expected to replace Achraf Dari and partner with Brendan Chardonnet in central defense.
For Brest, Martin Satriano, on loan from Inter Milan, is set to lead the attack. Despite only scoring one goal in his nine league appearances, that goal came in Brest’s most recent home game against Toulouse.
On the PSG side, defender Nuno Mendes and forward Marco Asensio are sidelined with hamstring and foot injuries, respectively. Goalkeeper Keylor Navas is unlikely to feature in the matchday squad after missing the win over AC Milan.
However, South Korea international Lee, who came off the bench to score PSG’s third goal in the midweek Champions League clash, may return to the starting lineup for Sunday’s contest.
Kolo Muani, who replaced Goncalo Ramos in the starting XI in the same match, is expected to retain his place in the side after scoring his first Champions League goal for PSG.
