Barcelona’s Pedri scores winner vs Girona

Barcelona secured a 1-0 win over Girona in the Catalan derby on Saturday, putting them six points ahead of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.

Midfielder Pedri Gonzalez scored the winning goal from close range in the 60th minute, on his 100th appearance for Barcelona.

The team was without suspended striker Robert Lewandowski, and forward Ousmane Dembele was injured in the first half.

Girona had an early chance to score but was unable to convert, and Barcelona held on for the win despite losing control of the game in the final moments.
