Goncalo Ramos Saves PSG with Late Equalizer Against Clermont
In a thrilling match, Paris St-Germain (PSG) salvaged a 1-1 draw against the bottom-placed team, Clermont, at the Parc des Princes.
Despite resting several key players with an eye on the upcoming Champions League quarter-final, PSG still dominated the early proceedings of the game.
However, Goncalo Ramos came to the rescue, scoring his third goal in as many games to secure the equalizer for the Ligue 1 leaders.
Ramos slotted in from close range after being set up by Kylian Mbappe, who entered the game as a substitute with 23 minutes remaining.
Before that, Habib Keita had given Clermont the lead with a deflected shot against the run of play.
PSG remains unbeaten in the league since September and now enjoys a comfortable 13-point lead at the top of the table.
Despite their dominance with 23 attempts on goal and 72% possession, the hosts were frustrated until Ramos’ 85th-minute goal.
Senny Mayulu’s effort was disallowed for a foul after a video assistant referee check.
