In a tense encounter on Saturday, La Liga champions Barcelona dropped additional points in the Spanish title race with a 1-1 draw against Valencia.

Despite moving into third place, one point ahead of Atletico Madrid, Xavi Hernandez’s side now trails Real Madrid by four points and shock leaders Girona by six.
