Mahrez inspires City comeback as Spurs collapse in second-half
Riyad Mahrez scored twice as Manchester City made a remarkable comeback to defeat Tottenham 4-2 and revive their title hopes.
Despite City’s efforts in the first half, they went into halftime trailing 2-0 due to mistakes by goalkeeper Ederson.
However, City rallied after the break, with goals from Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland, and Mahrez securing the victory.
The win prevented City from suffering a third consecutive defeat and put pressure on leaders Arsenal.
Guardiola made several changes to the lineup, including benching Kevin De Bruyne and starting Alvarez and Haaland.
While City lacked some of their usual energy without De Bruyne, they still dominated the first half and narrowly missed several chances to score.
