Video: Real Madrid stumble at Mallorca as Asensio misses penalty

Real Madrid suffered a surprising defeat, Sunday, in their last match before the start of the Club World Cup competitions, with a result of (0-1) against their host Real Mallorca, in the 20th round of La Liga at the “Estadio Iberostar”.

Mallorca’s goal was scored by Nacho Fernández, a defender of Real Madrid, by mistake in his own net in the 13th minute.

With this loss, Real Madrid’s balance is frozen at 45 points, in second place in the La Liga standings, with a 5-point gap behind Barcelona, who played less, while Mallorca raised their score to 28 points, in 10th place.

Mallorca succeeded in advancing quickly in the 13th minute, when Dani Rodríguez sent a cross-pass into the penalty area to his colleague Vedat Muriqi, but Nacho put it into his own net.
