Video Man City robbed of a penalty vs RB Leipzig
Manchester City and Pep Guardiola were extremely upset after a clear late penalty was not given during their 1-1 Champions League draw with RB Leipzig.
The game was leveled by Josko Gvardiol’s header after Riyad Mahrez’s first-half finish, but the visiting team strongly believed that they should have been awarded a spot-kick during the final moments of the game.
During a corner, a header towards the goal hit Leipzig defender Benjamin Henrichs’ hand, and Manchester City players protested as they believed it should have resulted in a penalty.
However, to their surprise, the referee did not award the penalty. Guardiola continued to express his disagreement with the officials on the sidelines, and even after the game, he insisted that a penalty should have been given.
