Toni Kroos Extends Real Madrid Contract For Extra Season
Real Madrid announced on Wednesday that Toni Kroos has agreed to extend his contract and will remain with the club for the upcoming season. The 33-year-old midfielder’s previous contract was set to expire at the end of June, but he has now committed to his 10th season at Real Madrid.
Since joining Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in 2014, Kroos has achieved remarkable success, winning four Champions League titles and three La Liga titles. He also played a pivotal role in Germany’s World Cup victory in the same year.
Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, had previously expressed his expectation that Kroos, along with fellow veteran midfielder Luka Modric, would continue to be part of the team for another season.
In recent news, Real Madrid made a significant signing by acquiring English teenager Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund for a transfer fee exceeding 100 million euros ($108 million). This addition further strengthens their midfield options, which already include talented players such as Fede Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga, who are all young talents from France.
