Thiago Silva is poised to reunite with Fluminense upon the expiration of his contract with Chelsea

reported that Thiago Silva is set to rejoin his former club Fluminense on a two-year deal when his contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season.

The 39-year-old defender will return to the Brazilian club where he made 143 appearances between 2006 and 2008.

Chelsea have confirmed that Silva will depart after their final game of the Premier League season against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge and will be allowed to train with Fluminense prior to his registration transferring on July 1.

It’s a significant move for both Silva and Fluminense, as he has had a successful tenure at Chelsea, including winning the Champions League during his debut campaign.
