Real Madrid win Club World Cup in eight-goal final

Real Madrid won their fifth Club World Cup title in a thrilling 5-3 match against Al Hilal in Morocco.

Vinicius Junior and Fede Valverde both scored two goals, with Karim Benzema adding one on his return from injury.

The win gave Madrid their second piece of silverware of the season, and also provided a break from their domestic struggles in La Liga.

Madrid had too much attacking quality for their opponents to handle, and Vinicius was named player of the tournament after scoring in both of Madrid’s matches.
