Man Utd comfortably see off Bournemouth
Manchester United extended their winning streak to four games in all competitions without conceding a goal as they easily defeated Bournemouth 3-0 in the Premier League.
The win helped solidify Manchester United’s hold on fourth place in the league. In the first half, there were few opportunities for either side to score, but Brazilian midfielder Casemiro scored from a free kick in the 23rd minute to give Manchester United the lead.
Bournemouth was unable to equalize and the game was effectively over after England full-back Luke Shaw scored early in the second half to double Manchester United’s advantage.
Manchester United had several chances to score a third goal later in the game, but it wasn’t until the final minutes that top scorer Marcus Rashford added to his tally to secure the victory for Manchester United’s coach, Erik ten Hag.
The win gives Manchester United a five-point lead over Tottenham Hotspur in fifth place and ties them with Newcastle United, who are in third, on points. Bournemouth remains in 15th place, two points above the relegation zone.
