Kane’s record-breaking goal earns Tottenham win over Man City
Harry Kane is now the all-time top scorer in Tottenham Hotspur history after his goal in the 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the Premier League.
He scored his 267th goal for the Spurs, surpassing the previous record holder, Jimmy Greaves.
In the 15th minute, Kane capitalized on a defensive mistake to score from close range and make history at North London.
Greaves, who played for Tottenham from 1961-1970, scored 266 goals for the club.
However, Kane has now set a new record by scoring more goals than any other player in the club’s history in just 416 appearances, averaging a goal almost every 1.5 games.
The England captain has received praise for this incredible achievement, with former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker calling it a “remarkable feat.”
