After a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Milan in the Derby di Italia, Juventus is aiming to provide their fans with another reason to celebrate as they face Verona on Saturday evening.

The Bianconeri are determined to reclaim the Scudetto, but there are concerns about how the ongoing betting scandal might impact the team’s performance.

The return of the fit-again striker, Dusan Vlahovic, to the starting XI is anticipated, although both Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli will be absent due to suspensions.

Meanwhile, injuries have sidelined key players like Danilo, Alex Sandro, and Mattia de Sciglio. On the other side of the pitch, the Mastini failed to make a strong impression in their recent 3-1 loss to a Napoli side missing Osimhen.

This lackluster performance is a significant factor in why we are favoring the hosts, who are in contention for the title. Unfortunately for the visiting team, Isak Hien, Juan Cabal, and Jayden Braaf are all unavailable due to injuries.

Team News:

In addition to the unavailable duo of Nicolo Fagioli and Paul Pogba due to suspension, Juventus is facing the absence of Brazilian pair Danilo and Alex Sandro due to injuries. Additionally, Mattia De Sciglio is not expected to return until 2024.

Due to fitness concerns, the first-choice forwards Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic began the match against Milan on the bench. However, Vlahovic may be prepared to replace Arkadiusz Milik as the frontman for Saturday evening’s game.

Highly-regarded Dutch defender Dean Huijsen made his debut as a substitute at San Siro, but Daniele Rugani is likely to continue filling in for Danilo in Juventus’s back three. In the last season, Juventus has only conceded one goal in eight league matches with Rugani as a starter, winning 75% of their games when the former Italy international was in the starting lineup, as opposed to 56% without him.

Meanwhile, Verona’s only injury concerns revolve around Juan Cabal and fellow defender Isak Hien, who will be assessed closer to kickoff.

Cyril Ngonge, the Belgian forward, is the only Verona player who has scored more than once in Serie A this season. Darko Lazovic, on the other hand, became one of only two players to score in five consecutive top-flight campaigns for Verona after finding the net against Napoli in the previous match, marking the first such feat since 1988.

Either Milan Djuric or Federico Bonazzoli is expected to lead the visitor’s attack in a lone striker role, with Bonazzoli having previously played for both of Juventus’s main rivals, Inter and Torino.
