Controversial Penalty Calls: Harry Kane Weighs In on Arsenal vs Bayern Clash
Harry Kane acknowledged that Arsenal and Bukayo Saka had strong grounds for a penalty during their 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The incident occurred when Saka collided with Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, but Swedish referee Glenn Nyberg did not award a penalty.

Saka was visibly upset and confronted Nyberg, while football analysts Martin Keown and Rio Ferdinand also believed that Arsenal should have been given a penalty.
Kane, who is Saka’s England teammate, conceded that there was a case for a penalty claim after Neuer clipped Saka’s leg. When asked about the decision, Kane stated, “If that happened to us, I would want the penalty. But it’s a 50-50 decision”.
Interestingly, earlier in the second half, Kane was also critical of Nyberg’s decision not to award Bayern a penalty when Gabriel Magalhaes handled the ball inside Arsenal’s box after play had resumed.
Kane asserted, “We should have had a clear penalty when the referee blew his whistle, the goalkeeper passed the ball, and Gabriel picked it up. That’s the clearest penalty I’ve ever seen”.
