Bayern Munich Set Another Champions League Record with Comeback Victory at Copenhagen

Meanwhile, 10-man Manchester United endured more misery in a 3-2 home defeat against Galatasaray, and Jude Bellingham played a pivotal role in Real Madrid’s 3-2 win at Napoli.

In the match against Copenhagen, Bayern Munich displayed their resilience. Jamal Musiala scored in the 67th minute, and Mathys Tel added another goal in the 83rd, leading Bayern to a comeback victory. Copenhagen had initially taken the lead through Lukas Lerager in the 56th minute.

This victory marked Bayern’s 18th consecutive undefeated away game in the group stage, surpassing Barcelona’s previous record of 17 games without an away loss between 2006 and 2012. Bayern’s last group stage away loss was in September 2017 against Paris Saint-Germain.

Since then, they have gone unbeaten in 36 matches and won 15 in a row, both of which are competition records.

In the same Group A, Manchester United had a brace from Rasmus Hojlund, taking the lead 1-0 and 2-1. Icardi’s winning goal came shortly after he missed a penalty, which resulted in United’s Casemiro being sent off.

In the match between Napoli and Real Madrid, England midfielder Jude Bellingham played a crucial role. Bellingham provided the assist for Vinicius Junior’s goal in the 27th minute and then scored himself after a stunning solo run seven minutes later.

This reversed Napoli’s earlier lead from Leo Ostigard. Piotr Zielinski leveled the score with a 54th-minute penalty, but an own goal from Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret gave Real Madrid their second win.

Real Madrid currently lead Group C ahead of Napoli and Braga, with Braga winning 3-2 at Union Berlin. In Group B, Lens defeated Arsenal 2-1, while PSV Eindhoven and Sevilla played to a 2-2 draw. In Group D, last year’s finalists Inter Milan beat Benfica 1-0, and Real Sociedad won 2-0 against Red Bull Salzburg.
