Liverpool Announce Signing of £85M Benfica Striker Darwin Núñez

Liverpool have announced the signing of striker Darwin Nunez from Benfica in a deal worth up to €100 million that would break their transfer record.

The Uruguayan saw his stock soar following a stunning Liga Bwin campaign that saw him score more goals (26) than any other player.

A number of Premier League sides had shown an interest in Nunez, but the Reds have won the race to land the 22-year-old.
