Liverpool put on a clinical display to defeat Manchester United in a pre-season friendly.

Arne Slot’s side secured a convincing 3-0 win, with goals from Fabio Carvalho, Curtis Jones, and Kostas Tsimikas.

Despite United creating chances, they now head into the Community Shield after suffering their third defeat in five summer games.

The match started energetically in South Carolina, and Liverpool took the lead when Carvalho’s low shot deflected in. Mohamed Salah set up Jones for the second goal, doubling Liverpool’s lead.
