Martinez strikes twice as Inter beat Cremonese
Inter Milan moved into second place in Serie A after Lautaro Martínez scored twice to secure a 2-1 win over bottom club Cremonese on Saturday.
Cremonese took a surprise lead with a goal from David Okereke, but Martínez equalized in the first half and scored again in the second half.
This took Martínez’s total to six goals in his last six games for Inter, and moved them two points above third-placed AC Milan, who play Sassuolo on Sunday.
The two teams will face off in a derby next weekend. Cremonese remained at the bottom of the table, nine points from safety.
